Product Description

The vertical sheer tool bit is similar to a finishing tool that is used on shapers. This tool is used for finish turning only. You use this tool after you have rough turned your parts to .003″ to .010″ oversize. The recommended depth of cut for this style of cutting tool is .001″ to .003″. If you leave more than .003″ for your finish cut, you will need to take several finish passes with this tool.

Because the Vertical Sheer Bit is specifically designed to NOT cut on center-line, it is not compatible with standard Sherline tools holders. To function properly, the Vertical Sheer Bit should be used in conjunction with the Quick-Change 1/4″ Tool Holder on the Sherline Quick-Change Tool Post.

Shipping

We do not charge a flat rate for shipping because of the variations in weight for our products. Instead, we charge you what the shipping company charges us. Our website uses a shipping calculator based on the daily rates for USPS and UPS based on the weight and destination of the shipment. You can also have us use your UPS/FedEx account number to charge your shipping. Just enter it in the appropriate box on the checkout page.

Domestic orders are shipped Monday – Friday. Expedited orders must be placed by 9 am PST to ship the same day.
